Balancing Act was created in three different locations primarily across three days—my residency studio in Alexandria, VA, my parents home in DC surrounded by family visiting, and my bedroom of Baltimore surrounded by the intimate silence and conversations with my person. All three of these spaces, during the time of creation, represented my priorities and desire to both give time to my art and the people I love. Naturally, the weaving shifted according to the interactions and emotions surrounding me.
